Appointment with DRR?
Good day Rotaractors of District 3800!
To call it a “ride” would be an understatement—“adventure” is a far more fitting description. What an adventure it has been since December 2023. Writing this narrative feels unexpectedly heavy, as I find myself experiencing a mix of emotions. This term has been far from easy; we’ve encountered numerous challenges on the road to where we are today. There were innovations, risks, opportunities, and more—all of which we faced together. And we did so not only to make this term a memorable one, but also to leave a lasting contribution to the future of our district.
Discussions and institutionalization of the governing documents, the re-launch of our district website, new initiatives involving guests from foreign countries, the implementation of the first Rotaract district grant project, and contributions to the Foundation—these are just some of the commitments we’ve shared as a district. Looking back, there wasn’t a single month of rest since we began in December 2023. From district-wide preparations to the many events led by our district officers, the pace has been relentless. If you were involved in any part of this journey, I’m sure you can share in the sense of exhaustion. Even the word “tough” falls short of capturing what we’ve experienced. However, I want you to know that you did more than simply participate—together with me, you helped forge a path for the future leaders of this organization.
To my Irresistibly Magical Presidents and your respective clubs—congratulations! Many of our milestones were made possible because of your dedication and commitment. Always remember, even on the days when you felt you couldn’t give your best, you still gave your 100%. You showed up, and you gave your all.The plaques handed out at our events are nothing compared to the sacrifices you made to improve even just one person’s life. Carry that achievement with pride. And I truly hope that the passion you’ve shown doesn’t end on June 30. The universe still needs you.
To my district officers—thank you, truly, for everything. For the sacrifices you’ve made, and for the unwavering support you’ve shown throughout this journey. I am both happy and confident as I prepare to leave this position, knowing I am entrusting the district to capable hands and continuing the work we’ve started together. I have never regretted choosing each one of you. To my secretaries—DS Daryl, DS Raf, DRRN Vince, DS Josh, and DRRE Alvin—thank you sincerely for all the effort and dedication you’ve given. Our time to relax and celebrate is just around the corner!
To my host club, the Rotaract Club of Caloocan—especially IMP Andrea, Chair Bryan, and PDRR Arnold—thank you so much for your generosity, hard work, patience, and dedication in making all of this possible. You all know how deeply grateful I am to each of you.
To my home clubs, the Rotary and Rotaract Club of San Juan East—especially Chair Maki, DIC Karl, IMP Deborah, DRAR Pat, PP Sheila, IP Rosey, and ADRR JC—there were moments when I didn’t know where to start, when to pause, or when to stop. This may sound sentimental, but in those moments, your presence and support brought me a sense of calm and reassurance.
To my Irresistible Governor, Bobby Zamora—thank you so much for the grace, support, and countless opportunities you extended to the Rotaractors of our district.
This has truly been a year of opportunity for our district’s Rotaractors. There were triumphs, and there were setbacks—but I close this chapter without sadness. In fact, I feel excited. Excited to see how new doors will open, and how each of you will step through them with confidence and purpose.
I envision a future where stronger leaders emerge, and new adventures unfold. Let’s continue to bring the magic to our communities.
